Description
An Anzac biscuit is a sweet and crisp biscuit made from rolled oats, flour, sugar, butter (or margarine), golden syrup and baking soda, and may also contain desiccated coconut. These biscuits are very popular in Australia and New Zealand and are named after the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) of World War I. These biscuits were perishable and were often sent to soldiers at war.
