Description
Gulab jamun is an Indian dessert that doesn’t have a direct English translation, but can be described as a “syrup-soaked sweet milk dumpling” or “rose-flavored deep-fried milk balls”. The name comes from the Persian words “gulab” (rose) and “jamun” (a type of Indian plum), referring to the rosewater-infused sugar syrup and the ball-like shape of the dessert.
