Description

Pressed cookies are made from soft dough that is pressed into various decorative shapes using a cookie press (or cookie gun). These are cookies that are molded into specific shapes or patterns using a cookie press or pastry bag before baking. Spritz and butter cookies are popular examples of pressed cookies. 

Method of preparation
Ingredients: These cookies are made from a mixture of ingredients like flour, sugar, butter and eggs.
Using a Cookie Press: A cookie press is a tube-like device with a plunger and several replaceable discs with decorative designs. Dough is inserted into the press and then pressed through the individual discs to create designs such as stars, flowers, and garlands.
Using a Pastry Bag: Pastry bags can also be used instead of a cookie press, with different nozzles to create different shapes.
Baking: Cookies are shaped directly on a baking sheet and then baked. These cookies don’t spread much as they bake, allowing you to space them closer together on the sheet.
